About Kathy Ann Chevalier

Kathy Ann Chevalier Joseph born into a family of artists and designers, in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Kathy began art and craft education in secondary school, trained by the renowned Trinidadian artist Mr. Ian Ali; she received a Diploma in Honors for outstanding performance in art at graduation and a grade A for art in CXC. From there she furthered her tertiary education in arts and communication and received a Diploma in Art. Since then she has been improving her skills by networking with other art professionals, by researching and studying the painting styles of legendary masters, even up-and-coming artists and practicing her own skills.
Kathy is also a certified photographer and plans to pursue an exhibition based on photography, this time light will be her paint and the camera the paint brush. Painting for over 20 years because art is her passion; she sees art as an expression of her mind, interpretation of her soul and the manifestation of her feelings; it is how she sees the world around her. Her constant goal is to meticulously transmit the beauty of all aspects of nature and life with a great sensibility and authenticity. She works toward representing the best she can, the expression of the subject to immediately attract the viewer's attention and emotion. Her hope is that her paintings prompt a sense of joy and tranquility in the people who experience them.
She conducted her first exhibition in December 2011 named ‘In Full Color’, for 4 days at the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS), and her second exhibition 'Danse De Liberte'at the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago for 14 days.
She has been featured in the International Kreol Mazagine, which gives recognition to Trinidad and Tobago’s creative talents, she is an ambassador for her country.
